Projekten i Zambia förväntas leverera över 850 000 energianslutningar och förse över 4,2 miljoner människor i avlägsna områden i landet med tillgång till prisvärd elektricitet före slutet av 2027.
The Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa has signed its tenth project in Zambia to scale up access to clean energy and support the acceleration of the green energy transition in the country. These Zambian projects expect to deliver over 850,000 energy service connections and provide over 4.2 million people in remote areas with access to affordable electricity by the end of 2027.
Ved COP28-møtet i Dubai meddelte Norge beslutningen om å bli med som bidragsyter til Modern Cooking Facility for Africa-programmet (MCFA), for å bidra til ytterligere utvikling og utbredelse av rene og effektive løsninger for matlaging i sju afrikanske land sør for Sahara. Norge bidrar i første omgang med 200 millioner kroner.
At the COP28 meeting in Dubai, Norway announced that it is joining the Modern Cooking Facility for Africa (MCFA) as a new donor to support the programme’s continued expansion and the development of clean cooking markets in seven Sub-Saharan African countries. The initial Norwegian contribution will be NOK 200 million.
