The Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) has signed its first agreement in Burkina Faso with Oolu Burkina Faso to support the scale-up of high-quality solar home systems for people living in rural areas of Burkina Faso and improve energy access in these areas.
The Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) programme has signed its first new agreements in Zambia, after a finalised pilot programme, to support the expansion and scale-up of high-quality solar home systems and development of mini-grid connections to help provide energy access in rural and peri-urban areas.

Two first agreements under the EUR 108 million facility have been signed with companies promoting energy access for low-income customers in the rural areas of Liberia.
З моменту запуску в 2012 році програма DemoUkrainaDH профінансовала загалом 13 демонстраційних проєктів, з яких повністю реалізовано в 10 містах. Завершальні заходи щодо реалізації проєктів заплановано на 2022 рік, однак програма закривається для нових проєктів.
Since its launch in 2012, the DemoUkrainaDH programme has financed a total of 13 demonstration projects, of which fully implemented in 10 cities. Final project activities and implementations are to be carried out in 2022, but the programme is closing for new activities.
To further support the scale-up of energy access in Sub-Saharan Africa, the Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) is launching a new country programme in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, with financing from Sweden. It is the sixth country to join the BGFA programme.
