The Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) is bringing clean and affordable off-grid energy solutions to rural and peri-urban areas in Sub-Saharan Africa. The aim is to reach 8.7 million people by 2029.

BGFA in 2023: Over one million lives impacted so far

MCFA built a strong project portfolio during 2024

The MCFA Annual Results Report 2024 highlights initial results of efforts to accelerate access to clean cooking solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2024, around 18,000 people in Sub-Saharan Africa gained access to clean cooking through approx. 3,000 initial clean cooking services provided by MCFA-financed companies.
