BGFA sub-programme in Uganda has improved technical and business skills within the country’s off-grid energy sector
The Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) has successfully completed the Job creation and skills development sub-programme in Uganda together with its partners. Over 300 participants attended the arranged courses in 2023-2024 to enhance both technical and business skills as well as gender inclusion within the off-grid energy sector.

The first newly constructed mini-grids funded by the Beyond the Grid Fund for Africa (BGFA) are delivering electricity in northern rural Liberia. The mini-grids, developed and operated by Energicity, have the potential to provide up to 8,000 Liberians with access to electricity.

Renovated emergency care facilities and repaired wastewater treatment inaugurated in Nemishaeve
On Wednesday 18 December 2024, the hospital in Nemishaeve and the city’s upgraded wastewater systems were inaugurated. The hospital sustained severe damages during the city’s occupation in March 2022.
