Strong interest in the Nordic Climate Facility

Providing clean water for Kenyans. Solvatten received a NCF grant in the first call for proposals.

The second call for proposals for the Nordic Climate Facility was closed on Friday 14 January. Some 180 applications were submitted to NCF as compared to 138 applications in the first call for proposals the year before.

The applications will now be screened and short-listed by the NCF team. In late February the short-listed applicants will be invited to submit their full proposals.

The Nordic Climate Facility, which is funded by the Nordic Development Fund (NDF) and jointly administered with NEFCO, provides grant financing for climate related projects in low-income countries in Africa, Asia and Latin America.

Financing can be granted to Nordic institutions, organizations, companies, and authorities which have established cooperation with a partner in low-income countries. The second call focuses on renewable energy and urban adaptation to climate change.
