The Nopef credit committee has approved financing for 15 new projects carried out by Nordic small and medium-sized enterprises. The total value of these grants is EUR 503,000.

The feasibility studies concern investments in projects carried out on all continents, for example in China, Australia, Ghana, Chile, the USA and Turkey as well as in two of NEFCO’s main countries of operation; Russia and Georgia.

A wide range of sectors are represented among the projects, including wind energy, small-scale hydroelectric power, components for fuel cells, air cleaning systems, water filtering, advisory service within the telecom industry, energy-efficient outboard motors, technology for heating and cooling as well as environmentally-friendly surface treatment method of wood.

So far this year, Nopef has awarded a total of EUR 1.47 million in grant funding to 45 feasibility studies. The aim of the study is to evaluate the feasibility of a long-term investment and establishing local presence in the project country through a joint venture or subsidiary, for example.

The Nordic Project Fund (Nopef) was established by the Nordic countries in 1982 and is today administered by NEFCO and financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
