The Nopef credit committee has approved to fund 9 new projects carried out by Nordic small and medium-sized enterprises. The total value of these grants is EUR 295,000.

The feasibility studies are aiming at investments both in NEFCO’s main countries of operation; Ukraine, Belarus and Georgia as well as globally: South Africa, Vietnam and the USA.

A wide range of sectors are represented among the projects, including solutions for flood protection, pumps for biogas plants, measurement equipments for ground vibrations, quality analysis of energy and electricity, engineering and consulting services for the energy sector and sustainable forest management.

So far this year, Nopef has awarded a total of EUR 900,000 in grant funding to 29 feasibility studies. The aim of the study is to evaluate the possibility for a long-term investment and whether to establish local presence in the project country, for example through a joint venture or subsidiary.

The Nordic Project Fund (Nopef) was established by the Nordic countries in 1982 and is today administered by NEFCO and financed by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
