Hybrid side event by Coalition Clean Baltic and WWF

15:00-16:30 EET / 14:00-15:30 CET

Bringing back a healthy Baltic Sea means funds and resources must be mobilised. To speed up these efforts our finance system needs also to transform to align investments with nature-positive principles and priorities, but how could this be done?

Anticipating the HELCOM Ministerial debate, join us for an engaging panel discussion to answer this question: What does it take to speed up the implementation and financing of the Baltic Sea Action Plan (BSAP) and explore solutions for a healthy Baltic Sea?

Panel:

  • Tobias Goldschmidt, State Minister of Energy Transition, Climate Protection, Energy and Nature, State Government of Schleswig-Holstein, Germany
  • Anja Nystén, Director of Environment and Sustainability, Nefco
  • Dr. Iwona Pawliczka vel Pawlik, Director, Hel Marine Station, Gdansk University, Poland
  • Airi Kulmala, Senior Advisor, The Central Union of Agricultural Producers and Forest Owners (MTK), Finland
  • Marc Eskelund, Policy Advisor, Danish Coastal Fisheries Producers Association, Denmark
  • Regan McEnroe, Vice-Chair, Fältbiologerna, Sweden
