Khmelnytskyi City Council, Ukraine, intends using the proceeds of a loan from the Nordic Environment Finance Corporation (Nefco), grant from the Neighbourhood Investment Platform of the European Union (NIP) and funding from the city, towards the costs of a project aimed at improvement of energy efficiency of public buildings in Khmelnytskyi city.
The Project envisages implementation of energy-efficient measures at 6 educational buildings (Kindergartens No. 8, 23, 45, 47, 48 and School No.1) in Khmelnytskyi city, characterised by high thermal energy and electricity consumption. The Project will result in reduction of energy consumption and CO2 emissions, as well as budgetary expenditures savings. In addition, it is of the great social importance since implementation of the project will improve the quality and conditions of educational services and will extend the lifetime of the buildings.
The Project will require the procurement of the following works, goods, and services for implementation of energy efficiency measures in educational buildings of Khmelnytskyi city:
- Thermal insulation of walls and socle
- Thermal insulation of flat roof
- Windows and doors replacement
- Modernisation of ventilation and lighting systems
- Modernisation of heating and engineering systems, etc.
Tendering is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2021.
The project is co-financed by the EU Neighborhood Investment Platform (NIP).
